Hire Party Characters for Events

Imagine the excitement when a favourite character arrives at your celebration! A JoJoFun Character Appearance brings a larger-than-life guest right into the party for a memorable meet-and-greet experience.

Our costumed characters make a special entrance, interact with guests, pose for photos and help create those magical moments children remember long after the party is over. Depending on the character and performer, the appearance may also include character-specific interaction or singing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during a Character Appearance?

The character makes a special entrance, meets and interacts with guests and poses for photos. The exact experience may vary depending on the character and performer.

Will the character lead party games?

No. Character Appearances are designed as meet-and-greet experiences rather than full party entertainment. If you’d like an entertainer to lead games and activities, our The Works™ entertainment option is the better choice.

Can we take photos with the character?

Absolutely. Photo opportunities are an important part of a Character Appearance, so have your cameras and phones ready.

Can the character sing?

Some character performers may be able to include singing or other character-specific interaction. This depends on the character and performer, so let us know what you’re looking for when enquiring.

Can the character appear at a corporate or community event?

Yes. Character Appearances can be a fun addition to corporate family events, community celebrations and other special events as well as children’s birthday parties.

What’s the difference between a Character Appearance and a Mascot?

A Character Appearance generally involves a performer portraying and interacting as a character, while a mascot appearance uses a full mascot-style costume. If you’re looking specifically for a mascot, visit our Mascot Characters page.

What Our Clients Say

“I just wanted to say how brilliant Spiderman was at my son’s party yesterday. He was a natural with the kids and went with the flow when things didn’t go to plan. Thank you so much 🙂 I have one very happy 5 year old!”

Character Appearance or Children’s Entertainer?

A Character Appearance is designed primarily as a special meet-and-greet experience. The character arrives, interacts with the children and provides opportunities for photos and memorable moments.

If you’re looking for an entertainer to lead the children through organized games, music, magic, balloon twisting and other activities, take a look at The Works™, our complete children’s entertainment experience.

Looking for a Mascot?

If you’re looking for a mascot-style character rather than a live character performer, visit our Mascot Characters page.
