Meet JoJoFun

For 20 years, JoJoFun has been built around one wonderfully simple idea: bringing people together through fun.

What started as a children’s entertainment company has grown into a wonderfully colourful team of entertainers, artists, performers, creators and behind-the-scenes people who have helped bring JoJoFun to life at thousands of celebrations.

Along the way, we’ve entertained more than 150,000 children — although we’ve always considered “children” to be anyone from 0 to 100+ who still knows how to have a little fun.

From birthday parties in family living rooms to schools, festivals, corporate family days and large community events, we’ve spent two decades filling celebrations with magic, balloons, bubbles, music, games, characters, creativity, laughter and a healthy dose of silliness.

Behind all of that is our team.

Meet the People Behind JoJoFun

JoJoFun has never been about simply sending an entertainer to an event. It’s about finding creative people who genuinely enjoy what they do, supporting them, and giving them the freedom to bring their own warmth, personality and talent to every celebration.

And behind those entertainers is a small team that keeps the whole colourful machine moving.

Jolène Emery — Director

Jolène Emery, Director of JoJoFun

Jolène is at the heart of JoJoFun and has spent 20 years shaping the company, its entertainment and the philosophy behind it.

Her approach has always been rooted in creativity, connection and the belief that fun matters. A great children’s entertainer doesn’t simply perform at children — they connect with them, respond to them and create an experience in which everyone feels part of the fun.

That philosophy has helped JoJoFun grow from children’s parties into corporate events, schools, festivals, community celebrations and an ever-expanding collection of creative entertainment experiences.

Jolène continues to develop new ideas for JoJoFun while overseeing the people, experiences and wonderfully unpredictable collection of things that make the company what it is today.

Austin Emery — Creative Director

Austin Emery, Creative Director of JoJoFun

Austin is an artist and the creative eye behind much of JoJoFun’s visual world.

As Creative Director, he helps shape the way JoJoFun looks and feels — from branding and promotional materials to the creative ideas that somehow find their way from a conversation into an actual JoJoFun experience.

His job is partly to make sure that whatever we’re creating still feels unmistakably like us: colourful, imaginative, playful and never too polished to have a little personality.

Andy Wood — Web Master & Events Administrator

Andy Wood, Web Master and Events Administrator at JoJoFun

Andy is one of the people keeping JoJoFun running behind the scenes.

He looks after much of our website, content, SEO and other technical nuts-and-bolts, while also helping coordinate events during busy periods. If you’ve booked with JoJoFun, there’s a good chance Andy has had a hand somewhere in the process.

And because JoJoFun has never been particularly interested in the idea that everyone needs to sit in the same office, Andy does all of this from Galicia, Spain — trusty laptop at the ready.

The Entertainers Who Bring JoJoFun to Life

Over the years, JoJoFun has worked with an extraordinary collection of performers and creative people: children’s entertainers, face painters, balloon twisters, magicians, puppeteers, bubble performers, caricature artists, henna artists, DJs, jugglers, stilt walkers, characters, Santas, elves and plenty of people whose talents are considerably harder to put into a neat little job title.

They are the people who walk into a room full of children and turn it into a party. They make the balloons, paint the faces, perform the tricks, start the games, create the characters, make people laugh and somehow keep smiling even when surrounded by 30 extremely excited five-year-olds.

They bring their own personalities, talents and creativity to JoJoFun, and over the past 20 years they have created countless moments of fun for the children, families and communities we’ve had the privilege of entertaining.

JoJoFun simply wouldn’t be JoJoFun without them.

20 Years of a Whole Lotta Fun

JoJoFun HQ has never been much like a conventional office.

Over the years it has involved puppets, costumes, magic tricks, balloons, bubbles, bigger bubbles, face paints, musical instruments, ridiculous props and countless conversations that begin with something along the lines of, “Wouldn’t it be fun if we…”

Twenty years later, we’re still having those conversations.

We’re enormously grateful to the entertainers, team members, families, schools, companies, communities and clients who have been part of the JoJoFun story so far.

And we’re nowhere near finished having fun yet.
