These instructions are for customers hiring inflatable equipment through JoJoFun. Please read them before the event and make sure the person supervising the inflatable has a copy.

Responsibility and Supervision

The person hiring the inflatable must ensure it is operated and supervised correctly. At least one responsible adult must supervise its use at all times. Follow the equipment provider’s instructions, including the limits for users, weather, setup and operation. If anything is unclear, contact the equipment provider before allowing use.

Users must not use the inflatable if there is any doubt about its safety. Report equipment problems to the hire company immediately.

Weather Conditions

• Do not allow use in wet or windy conditions. Wind can move or overturn an inflatable, and wet surfaces can become slippery.
• Stop use when weather conditions become unsafe or exceed the equipment provider’s permitted limits.
• Keep everyone off the inflatable during rain or when the surface is wet. Follow the equipment provider’s instructions for shutdown, drying and restarting.
• Do not move or cover the blower unless the equipment provider has instructed you how to do so safely.

Anchoring and Surrounding Area

• Use every anchorage point and the anchoring method specified by the equipment provider.
• Check that anchoring remains secure throughout the event, even when the weather seems calm.
• Keep the inflatable clear of fences, overhead power lines and other obstacles.
• Place suitable impact-absorbing mats around open sides and entrances as directed by the equipment provider.

Blower and Power Supply

• Keep the blower at the distance specified by the equipment provider and prevent users from reaching it.
• Keep blower vents clear. Do not allow the inflatable or its blower to move from their approved positions.
• If the blower stops, loses power or appears faulty, stop use immediately and get everyone off the inflatable. Contact the hire company for instructions before restarting it.

Safe Use

• Follow the hire company’s maximum number of users. If users are colliding, stop and reduce the number.
• Separate users by age and size. Do not allow anyone outside the permitted age, height or weight range to use the inflatable.
• Use the safety step only for getting on and off; do not bounce on it.
• Remove footwear, items from pockets, jewellery and other hard or sharp objects before entering. Remove eyeglasses where practical.
• Do not allow pets, toys, food, drinks or chewing gum on the inflatable. Do not throw objects onto it.

Prohibited Behaviour

Supervisors must stop users from:

• Climbing, sitting on or hanging from walls or overhead sections;
• Pushing, fighting or deliberately colliding with others;
• Performing somersaults or other acrobatics; or
• Behaving in a way that puts themselves or others at risk.

Adults and Medical Considerations

• Adults may use an inflatable only if it is designed and approved for their height and weight.
• Do not mix adults and children on the inflatable unless the equipment provider specifically permits it.
• Anyone with a back, neck, heart or other relevant medical condition should seek appropriate medical advice before use.
• Do not allow anyone who feels unwell to use the inflatable.

Inflating, Deflating and Leaving the Equipment

• Never allow anyone on the inflatable while it is inflating or deflating.
• When the inflatable is not in use, keep people away from it and follow the hire company’s shutdown instructions.
• Never leave an inflated unit available for unsupervised use.

Keep These Items Away

• Do not allow face paint, party poppers, streamers, Silly String or other staining materials on or near the inflatable.
• Do not allow smoking, barbecues or open flames on or near the inflatable.
